Groups

Arrival by car, coach, bicycle, public transport or on foot

Coach

  • The journey with a 40-seater is possible up to the last bridge (turning loop) (10 minutes walk from the Höllgrotten).

Car

The Höllgrotten can be reached from Baar on a good road. Parking spaces are available free of charge on site. Navigation system entry: Lorzendamm 28, 6340 Baar (from Lorzendamm follow the road for approx. 3 km through the forest).

Bicycle

From Baar railway station you can cycle 4.5 km on an asphalt road through the forest. Would you like a longer itinerary? The Höllgrotten are located on the Switzerland Mobility Lakes Route (stage 7). More information about the tour can be found on the Switzerland Mobility website.
And those who don't have a bike can rent one for free in Baar. More information can be found at Zug Tourism - Bike rental.

Public transport 

The caves can be reached on foot in about an hour from Baar railway station. Alternatively take bus no. 603 (Baar Lättich) to the Paradies stop and from there it's a 40 minute walk or from Zug railway station take bus no. 602 to Tobelbrücke-Höllgrotten and from there it's a 25 minute walk.

If you fancy a bit more of a sporting challenge, you can start your trip to the Höllgrotten with a scooter ride from the Zugerberg. You can find more information here

Directions

Admission for groups

The caves are open daily from 1 April to 31 October from 9am to 5pm. The last admission to the caves is at 5 pm. Groups must book in advance by phone or email.

Tickets can only be purchased locally at the kiosk, the following means of payment are accepted: Cash (only CHF), EC- and credit cards (except American Express), as well as Reka-Card and Reka-Checks.
